The day began with news of the death of Orioles player and manager Davey Johnson and ended with a near no-hitter and an old-school “Magic” win over the Dodgers in the aftermath of a massive 30th Anniversary celebration of Cal Ripken and 2131. Our Allen McCallum was at Camden Yards on Saturday night and was the WNST clubhouse reporter in 1996 and 1997 when Davey led rare winning teams during the Angelos era.
