A year older and calmer, Jackson aims to lead Ravens to elusive January breakthrough
“I’m like, ‘Oh, I have to calm myself down.’ But just being more experienced, I’ve found a way to balance it out.”

The last time the Steelers came to Baltimore for an NFL playoff game, it involved Donald Kroner, a plane crash and a bad home loss. That was 1976. As Leonard Raskin and Nestor reminisce about the more recent January battles of the Ravens going to Pittsburgh for this epic rivalry, this one figures to be a much more favorable match up for Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry to run to the next stop on a Super Bowl run as a 3 seed over the struggling renegades on the run Saturday night.

Beating two playoff teams in convincing fashion over five days speaks for itself.
It was a fun night for Baltimore sports fans beating the Steelers at home but the holiday work is far from complete. Luke Jones and Nestor recap the Ravens 34-17 win over Pittsburgh and prep for a quick Texans’ Christmas slog in Houston with high stakes and fatigued football players.

Our favorite reformed baseball writer and historian Tim Wendel has moved on to a life as a professor at Johns Hopkins and author of novels. He’ll be back in Baltimore on Saturday signing his most recent book, “Rebel Falls,” and joins Nestor here to discuss the book’s historical context, including a Confederate plot to seize a Union warship and bombard northern cities. They also delve into the state of the Baltimore Orioles, expressing concerns about the team’s payroll, involvement in free agency and the kinds of fan engagement that will grow the franchise into a mid-market brand.

It took a month to see a full performance for the Baltimore Ravens defense but it was a complete effort in pummeling Bills quarterback Josh Allen and the Buffalo attack. Luke Jones and Nestor praise the men of Zach Orr and discuss Joe Burrow and the Bengals, who await in Cincinnati on Sunday.
It was an impressive performance on many levels for the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night but nothing impressed Luke Jones and Nestor more than finally seeing the promise of a running attack that couldn’t be stopped – early and late. Derrick Henry is (still) a Dude.
