So John Martin joins us now. It has been, you know, you and I have been at this like, five years now, doing, you know, crab cake tours and all that. I don’t know that we’ve been apart for this period of time here. It’s been, like about a month since you and I have gotten together. We’ve launched the Maryland treasures. I don’t have the tickets. All right, I always give you a chance to talk about winners and stuff like that, but, and it’s nice, somebody wins 50 grand, and they come, they take a picture, and they come down and they put on boas and have fun down in your office and all that. But getting a million dollars in scratch offs, like, that’s a big deal, and we talk about that whenever it happens, but you’re giving money away every day. You know, it’s we have the winter stories on our website at MD lottery.com, but, yeah, a million bucks or things close to it still gets a different level of response. I mean, no one’s going to walk away from $50,000 but when you start to move that decimal point over, it’s a whole nother feeling that comes over one I was not involved with was, was a Prince George’s County man who won a million dollars on a 200 100 times the cash $20 scratch off ticket. And again, these are, these are typical people who know the game, understand the game, know the odds of the game. So he used to play the $30 200 times the cash ticket. But apparently they didn’t have it in stock that day at that retailer. So he went down a notch on the $20 100 times the cash version, and ended up scratching tickets. And I love when they see so many zeros. They they forget how to count. So, so, so so they they scan the ticket, and it sometimes will tell them exactly how many zeros are there. So, yeah, he was fortunate enough to win a million dollar top prize. But I did have the opportunity to talk to a another winner. Met them here when they came to claim their prize, and it happened to be at the let me find out what their game was. They were playing the fast play game. It was a progressive jackpot,

Don’t know if he even looked at the progressive, but he just saw that ticket. Ended up winning $828,000 and some change on a progressive jackpot win on that $20 fast play game. And it’s, you know, interesting when you see people and you ask them, What are you going to do next? And they literally don’t know. They just don’t know what they’re going to do next, you know? They’ll say things like, Well, yeah, I’m going to pay off my car, do that little project around the house. I’m going to say, Okay, you still have $812 million left, you know? So it’s the magnitude of it, right? I mean, they just, I mean, who’s used to getting hundreds of 1000s of dollars, unless you’re a sports celebrity, but yeah, I mean, for the common folks, the people who enjoy the game, who play responsibly, they really have to catch their breath. This is a guy who’s retired. He and his wife, so hopefully they’ll get a chance to to enjoy that and share it with their family and and enjoy the fruits of their their labors through the years, and retire with a little more comfort.

It cost us, and it had three or four winners in the same five minutes in the bar, because you know how cost this is over.
