am absolutely thatโs the first thing everybody does around here. Thatโs glasshouses
Nestor Aparicio 00:26
here on Thursday weโre going to be celebrating 31 years on the radio Tuesday is my 31st anniversary. Itโs December 13 And I walked into wi th am 1570 down at five Lake Street with Kenny Albert. On Thursday weโre gonna be celebrating 31 years with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer genius shot from the Go Goโs, as well as a whole bunch of rock and roll friends all the Amberjacks friends, old bands like milkshake and beyond words and friends of ours. Iโll be giving away some rabid scratch offs as well as the new holiday cast drop scratches. That Ross dropped off at fade these on Friday had an unbelievable conversation with Dan Rodricks. Itโs been a very momentous week, Dennis I am i i was a real media member on Sunday in Pittsburgh past they gave me parking. I eat Mr. Rooneyโs cookies with Charlie batch and Rod Woodson Hey Mr. Rooneyโs cookies with a Hall of Famer with a raven Super Bowl ring and not a Steelers ring. I you know, I had an interesting experience after 27 years of doing this, and they take away my license to practice and then all of a sudden, Iโm in the press box there. Because of my komlin my Tomlins the only reason I was at the game on Sunday, I found that interesting that Harbaugh came in and welcomed me into a room that heโs been a tremendous part of banning me from and lying about it, which is even worse. So horrible. I did not ask John a question I didnโt. The questions I had had already been asked the biggest question in the in the postgame. And I know you can appreciate this is whether Tyler Huntley can play on Saturday because of the short week and that the head trauma. And that was more of our question is geared to play with a third string quarterback for four quarters against Cleveland although the kid look, boy. Yeah,
Dennis Koulatsos 02:10
yeah, I donโt think youโre gonna get I think itโs a fruitless question. I know that someone had to ask it, but youโre not going to get any, any real clarity on anyoneโs injury, particularly right right after the game. Last year, we heard Coach Harbaugh say that the Lamar Jackson was weak week with the ankle, right. So he never played again. So I donโt know how much confidence I have and what comes out of the Ravens machine there in terms of Player Health and whatnot. But hey, I want to hear about your I saw you tweeting at the game. I saw your pictures. Youโre in the press box, youโre eating the cookies. Itโs really odd that youโre walking at a opposing teamโs stadium, particularly the Pittsburgh Steelers. And you canโt even attend a game as a journalist that you are at m&t Bank Stadium.
Nestor Aparicio 02:54
I went with Luke we met him Breezewood jumped in the car. Now the interesting thing is I knew I was getting in because I had been on the phone with the Steelers, PR people and the Steelers. PR man the lead guy I want to give a little love to him. His daughter was involved in a really really horrific hit and run a week and a half ago. Sheโs in a coma fighting for her life. That this is the Kevin Byrne or the Chad steel of the Steelers that the Vice President seems Bert lot and heโs a wonderful human being. He was not at the game on Sunday. You know all of us lump in our throats like I itโs hard for me to talk about it because I know Bert well. But his team took care of me and they reached me on Thursday and Friday and said coach wants you in the press box coach wants you doing your job. You know do you need a parking pass and like Now Luke already has a parking pass. So we parked right by the Taco Bell right up the hill Wiggins not Allegheny avenue by the Confluence and the new name all the ketchup bottles are gone and the monster bottles are gone. You know. So um, the interesting part for me is and this is a human issue right? When the when the Orioles did what they did to me and oh six every Oriole person I knew longtime front office people. They all unfriended me on Facebook. They all unlinked me in none of them are allowed to know me in the Angeloโs family, like literally anything good that they would ever say about me would get them fired, right or get them in trouble or their perception is they cannot afford to be even remotely aligned in any way with me. Ravens Iโve been at this 26 years. I know everyone and there was one dude with Eric the costume that I didnโt recognize. Iโd look at his badge and say Whoโs that guy? And I thought I can look his picture up on the website or whatever. I didnโt know who he was. I still know who he is. But there were one each 25 non uniformed personnel that worked for the right Even with the ravens, not one of them, looked at me. Not one of them came up and said how are you Howโs your wife? What the teamโs doing is wrong or like, even out of the side of their like, and for the team refuse to look at me or speak to
Dennis Koulatsos 05:21
me. These are people you know, youโve spoken to before.
Nestor Aparicio 05:23
Oh my God, these are people that are going to football games with for 2025 years. I mean, Iโm lying. Iโm lying. Iโm lying. Iโm lying. Let me say this. Because I am Iโm, I would be remiss in saying this. I pay a lot during the game and I got a bad back and I move around. During timeouts. I like to stand up, move around. I went back to the bathroom and like the third quarter during maybe the end of the third quarter, and I went back to pee. And Ozzie Newsome and I were the only two people in the bathroom. And Ozzy said, Hi Nestor. So I am wrong. I said that earlier that nobody said hello. I had to think about it. Ozzie Newsome said hello to me. i He acknowledged that I exist in my name and who I am no one else in the entire franchise. And when we parked the car, and weโre walking down by the Taco Bell, down Allegheny, itโs two blocks. And thereโs always fans everywhere. And it was jailbird, goofy outfits they have and all that. And I thought a Stedman for a minute. But what I really thought was David Modell, I thought, What would David Modell make of the Pittsburgh Steelers welcoming me into their stadium. And I canโt be welcomed in the facility of a team that Iโve supported for three decades. Like it, none of it makes any sense. Itโs juvenile. Itโs immature. Itโs all of the above. I went and did my job. I wasnโt there to create a storm. I could ask John. Hey, whatโs it like the bad guys press? I mean, I could have done anything to make a fool of myself, and have you leave your sponsorship with me and everybody abandoned me. I just did my job. And I just did my job like I always do. But it shouldnโt be this hard to do my job. Now to say that straight out. And Iโve had a lot of people in the legal community telling me that it should, it should not be this hard to do what I have done for a living, that theyโre taking that away from me. I spent a day in that. But that being said, I wrote my column, they want a game. They want a third string quarterback. It was a great game to be a part of. I mean, Luke and I were watching the game and we talked about on the way home or like, it was an exciting football game for what it was given the stakes with the Ravens. And given the history of the rivalry.
Dennis Koulatsos 07:36
No, I read your column was quite interesting. Nestor. One thing I picked up early. In your column was you mentioned that empty seats on television, it looked like the lower bowl was completely sold out. Everybody was you know, elbow to elbow and the upper deck was about three quarters full. And the club level as usual. With many stadiums half empty against half those fans are inside drinking and watching the game on TV. But how many empty seats were there?
Nestor Aparicio 08:02
They nest credit 66,000 I would say there were six to 8000 empty seats most of the day. You might be you know, I mean? 10% 15% mean? Theyโre so yellow. The seats are so yellow. Thereโs so bright, you know, they that but you know, I would say this, then thatโs not unusual to Pittsburgh, even in the years that theyโre good. They they have more. No Show MTC itโs never a tough ticket. I did go online at 1230 to see what it cost here. The tickets have been 1015 bucks to get in. There were 30 there to get in. Well, 30 if you I thought you actually I thought well, if Denisonโs buddies drove up here, they could get in for 30 bucks. It was a it was a $30 kind of ticket to get in. And there were a significant amount of the empty seats really was the end of the game. People left early like
Dennis Koulatsos 08:58
they left. Same thing at the m&t Bank the week before. And so two of my guys that I work with, they actually drove up Saturday night stay there. They werenโt the game. They sat in the first row right behind the Ravens his bench. And they just came in today just just gushing about what they saw. They love the atmosphere and to hear the players talking and dropping F bombs and they were amazed how animated Ronnie Stanley was, for instance, but I got good feedback from my guys.
Nestor Aparicio 09:26
Well, the Ravens players were dancing to Renegade. Yes. And then went out went 99 yards. So it really was a monumental effort for what it was and then to speak to the team and Iโll talk to you more on Thursday. That is Colossus here Koontz Baltimore Ford heโll be here on Thursday from three to five getting you ready for the game and then Sunday. We play on Saturday. Youโll be back on Sunday morning. I would say for me with the game itself. very memorable. I mean, just having a third string quarterback come in Trubisky he will break your heart wonโt he mean he does ever Anything he runs, he throws he recognizes defense. And then we made a great play. What he threw passes that you cannot throw in this league. If you want to be a winning football coach, you want to be a winning quarterback. I mean, but he has all the skill set. And really, he was the best quarterback in the stadium on Sunday not named Lamar, right?
Dennis Koulatsos 10:20
He was but he right here reminded me a cow bowler at times right big arm, but just threw the ball at the wrong place at the wrong time. So thatโs what I saw at a Trubisky. In fact, when picking one out, I tweeted out, Iโd rather see picket I think than Trubisky because Trubisky is a veteran, accomplished NFL quarterback were picket. He still had some things to learn. He looked like he was out of his element. He looked a bit shell shocked. And I thought the Ravens would it would pick him off a couple of times. But then again, they were all over Trubisky in a red zone. I thought the Ravens would win if they would limit or turnovers and run the ball effectively. And if they just sat and they still almost lost.
Nestor Aparicio 10:57
Well running effectively. Letโs talk about that. Because after I left the press conference with hardball and Ro Quan Smith came on and Iโm like, Iโm going to lock and talk some other guys because I even had to say to Sandusky as I walked out, Iโm like the locker room open. Iโve been in a locker room and three years, like literally since before the plague because they shut the locker room and then they threw people like me out. I went in the locker room and I talked to five or six players. And I introduced myself to Calais as Campbell. Heโs like, I know you are I did your show with the Super Bowl 10 years ago and Iโm like nice thanks.
Dennis Koulatsos 11:30
What a great guy. Clayโs Campbell is right. And they donโt win without him blocking that field. Well yesterday, too. Letโs not overlook that fact.
Nestor Aparicio 11:37
But running the football I was in there with Ronnie Stanley and obviously seeing JK Dobbins even admit that he doesnโt have he got caught in a way that he would never win. He can be I mean, itโs crazy. Is gimpy. He will
Dennis Koulatsos 11:51
never burner heโs the kind of guy that rip off 3040 50 yard runs but he was never true burners I donโt know. Even at 100% I donโt know if he would have still got to the end zone but never nevermind that he looked very very good though. The touchdown run was the was excellent. That second effort he made
Nestor Aparicio 12:05
well and having Gus Edwards back having him back. But Ronnie Stanley, just a difference maker and getting guys healthier. So all the guys that went to in the locker room, right. Linda bomb. Heil Hamilton, Ronnie Stanley, all of these guys have have missed and Iโve been in the locker room every week. They wouldnโt have been there a lot of the weeks right? Like the notion that they are getting healthier now Lamar is question mark with a you know, a giant red question mark for them for whether heโs week the week is Coach Harbaugh would say last year or whether itโs a PCL, and we might not see him to Cincinnati, or we might see him here on New Yearโs Day Against Pittsburgh. But the notion that theyโre getting healthier all the way around, and that they ran the ball the way they did, and that the defense you see marques Williams out there running around Hamiltonโs out there, it looks healthy. I donโt know about Peters and Humphrey had a horrible day on the backside as well. But getting the full complement of all of their players the way as I said all last year, the way Eric de Costa dreamed it up. The way you dream it up in April in May and June and free agency and how youโre gonna spend your money and who your rookies are and how theyโre going to get on the field. They are sort of rounding into form in that way in that way of having their best players potentially be ready for Pittsburgh on the first Cincinnati on the eighth. And then assuming they win this week beat Atlanta. I mean, once they start getting up to 11 wins, theyโre making the playoffs, then itโs about are we going to get a home game the first week, and thatโs going to be about beaten Cincinnati on the eighth. But I am getting more bullish on the fact that they can give themselves a representative fight to go beat Cincinnati buffalo Kansas City, which theyโre going to have to do in some sort of order there in January, that they could have that at least theyโre not going to go out there and lose because they donโt have their players. And you could say Bateman in the passing game. And Luke will talk to heโs blue in the face about that, that that thatโs the part of beaten buffalo in Kansas City, that you canโt throw the ball that theyโre theyโre not going to throw the ball well. They donโt need to if theyโre running the ball as well as they did it points on Sunday.
Dennis Koulatsos 14:18
I also think that the another big point is they ran the ball effectively with that Lamar Jackson being in there, he makes that running game go with RPO is that what thatโs when you can when you can sit there with a third string quarterback, a rookie and the other team that was Steeler knew that ravens were not going to pass the ball. Everybody in the stadium knew everybody watching you. Theyโre gonna run the ball, and they still couldnโt stop it. That was the scariest element about this ravens rushing offense because the Steelers me didnโt play good defense. Theyโve got some theyโve got some really really good talented players on the defensive side of the ball.
Nestor Aparicio 14:52
That is go out so sheโs here. He will be here on Thursday getting you ready for a Saturday afternoon kickoff. So, the game on Sunday itโs the first Stay that I only watched the Ravens I spent nine hours driving up to Pittsburgh through Breezewood. And back you know when the day my backโs holding up nicely, but I didnโt get to watch a lot of football. I watch the end of the night I watched Herbert do his thing. And he again thereโs another guy didnโt look healthy a month ago, looks healthy. Now. I know Iโm wearing the chargers, Coons, Ford, you know, powder blues, the lance all worse. But when youโre talking about teams being a factor in January, I mean, Josh Allen gets hurt. The pills arenโt winning anything, right? I mean, if Lamar Jackson canโt post up, the Ravens arenโt winning anything. So having your best players be ready. Oh, December 11 1213 1415. I start to feel better about the ravens, especially walking around the locker room realizing theyโre getting healthier at a time in the year when they need to. And they want a game. I mean, anyone in Pittsburgh, I mean, Justin Tuckerโs given that pregame speech about youโre not really a rave until you beat the Steelers and Pittsburgh and whatnot. I I felt that in the locker room amongst the young guys. I certainly felt that with Patrick queen, you know, a guy whoโs had beaten them, and has been here a couple of years that this was, I hate that monkey on the back type of thing because this was a diminished version of the Steelers obviously look at their record. But there is something about that stripe, and this and these AFC North games being what they are. And this gauntlet of four and five were the teams that want to wreck your season. Cleveland, Pittsburgh are in a position to do it.
Dennis Koulatsos 16:27
What about ro Quan Smith Nestor, how does this team I mean, three or four games into his career as a raven. How do they not sign him? How do you not extend a row Quan Smith? I mean, the guy is a monster heโs elevated that defense had a pic again against the Steelers when he hits, ball carries that tend to go backwards. sealers held to believe 48 yards rushing and they were rushing for well over 100 yards, the last four or five games? What a difference maker ro Quan Smith has been.
Nestor Aparicio 16:53
Absolutely and again, that speaks to the cost of making a deal that, you know, as he never made those kinds of deals, nobody in football made those kinds of deals, and to say, well, heโs a rental and we gave up some draft picks. And if we get rid, you know, if we lose him, we will recoup that pick in the 24 supplemental weโll get a sandwich third, fourth round pick whatever itโs going to be for him. They have a lot off see. I mean, itโs too early for this for me that itโs I mean, I started this with Luke this one already. Heโs like, hey, you know, Marcus Peters free pending free agent and JK Dobbins. And they have guys playing for money. I donโt think thereโs any doubt about that. But they really have guys now playing for a Super Bowl because theyโre in this smell it period. Itโs late in the year, half the guys on this team were either too hurt to be on the field this time last year, or to hurt at some point in the last 12 weeks. Itโs to get on the field. I mean, this has been a tough year I think tough two years for the infirmary part of when we get this guy back when we lost that guy. Weโre getting this guy back and we lost that guy. The only guy to me they canโt lose beyond Lamar is Ronnie Stanley because theyโre not driving 99 yards out of that hellhole at the confluence after Renegade. If Ronnie Stanleyโs not on the field I and then thereโs like more Sunday either so you know there are some other pieces but I start to envision what this will look like January 8, if they have a healthy contingent of players. Williams Hamilton more bodies on the back end to JPPs in Houstonโs in the Oh was getting an Bowser getting some sort of pass rush together. So the only one that Iโve written off Spaceman right? Heโs not playing. But Iโm at a various points I wrote off Gus Edwards, we all wrote off Ronnie Stanley twice, three times four times, like these people that we have written off or thought like with Williams, heโs not coming back. I thought when Dobbins got scoped in October, you would have told me heโd be playing it playing winning football on December 11th. If you would have told me that a month ago I would have said Iโll believe it when I see it because thatโs why Iโm with all these injuries. But seeing being in that locker room and seeing the guys that had been on the injury report be there in December, and theyโre nine and four and theyโre winning games they easily could have lost with glass Campbellโs fingers Mitch Trubisky not being you know Mitch Trubisky theyโve theyโve had some good fortune your last couple of weeks things are the sun shining on John Harbaugh a little bit right now.
Dennis Koulatsos 19:23
Well as you look at the NFL scores every week Nestor you realize itโs a week a week league anything can happen anything less than your A game exposes you to a loss and even when you execute when you run the ball for over 200 yards and you limit your turnovers and you still are right there on the brink of disaster right so ravens a two and a half point underdog to the Browns certainly not a scary trip defense and running game. Those two elements travel very well Nesta
Nestor Aparicio 19:47
two point dog in Pittsburgh won the game, right like
Dennis Koulatsos 19:50
I like it. I like it. I like it. They can run the ball, and they can play defense and special teams. All these things go together hand in hand and Iโm just opponent Lamar wonโt be able to play up against the Shawn Watson. I know he was looking forward to that matchup.
Nestor Aparicio 20:04
Well, heโll have more chances to do that if he signs a a longer term deal here. I think Deshaun Watson is going to be there no matter what. Great Books, I was gonna bring this up with you about Deshaun. Watson, you and I spent a lot of breath in the offseason talking about that criminal and, and the league and teams wanting him and guaranteed money. And Jimmy has limit what it means the Ashanti and Lamar is money. You know, addition by subtraction, subtraction by addition, right? Like they were probably better serve which Kobe percent is their quarterback right? I mean, as opposed to this transplant guy, that every guy in that locker room has had to go home to their mother, their wife, sister, their girlfriend, and theyโre like, oh, thatโs your guy. Is that your guy? Thatโs, thatโs your quarterback? Oh, okay. Youโre that you know. So I think that thatโs a different thing. And clearly the Browns are making the playoffs this year. So all they have there is letโs wreck the Ravens this week and the short rest. Itโs going to create longer rest for Atlanta this week. But the biggest question in the locker room is hardball was coming in and he said to me, hardball acknowledged me he looked at me. He said, welcome. Well, thatโs what he said to me. And I said to him, yeah, yeah.
Dennis Koulatsos 21:22
Yeah. Was it the ghosts of Nestor J Aparicio. Was he there in the flesh? Right. Thatโs what they were all asking themselves. How did you get in? How did you get there?
Nestor Aparicio 21:29
I donโt know if they even know. I donโt know if Chad Steele call the Steelers, PR people when i i honestly I gathered this from the Pittsburgh media that I talked to. And I gathered this from the Steelers people that I talked to the organization donโt like each other. You know, like I like beyond hardball V. Tomlin and whatever. Yeah. And the organizationโs are not sort of kind of friendly here. And again, I just think I showed up with a press pass. And thereโs the Ravens people will find out how I got in when they listened to the show, because I donโt think chats deal really knew I how I got it. I mean, I donโt know. Obviously he knows the Steelers Davis pass. But I think they think my relationship with Mike Tomlin is not real. You know what I mean? Like that he and I donโt text each other once a month all the time, because we do. I mean, I and we always have from the time we met each other. I donโt think a month has gone by where Mike Tomlin and I have not exchanged pleasantries of some kind. And donโt try to get together. Like when thereโs a concert in Pittsburgh. Sometimes heโll text me and say, Hey, we might go to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. You want to come up? Like literally, these kinds of things have happened over the course of time. He was gonna go to the stone show with me last year. Oh, my back blew out. So I, I donโt know the relationship was weird. But I donโt. Tom was not using me to get even with hardball. He didnโt expect them to throw me out. And when they threw me out, he said, Well, youโre coming to Pittsburgh, you want to come to the game. Iโm like, All right. You know where we are. So thatโs how
Dennis Koulatsos 22:57
I went. Perhaps you can get a press pass to the Browns into the Bengals. Thatโd be great.
Nestor Aparicio 23:02
I know people who know Kevin Stefanski, but I donโt have a flight to Cleveland this week. I got you. I think the Cincinnati games. I mean, I want to go right. So I Iโm going to book a flight. And if the Bengals turned me down to there. I mean, maybe Marvin still has friends there with the Brown family. I donโt know. But I mean, Iโll say this. And Iโll say this just from the heart. I mean, youโve known me a long time. I love you. You love me. You support my station, spiritually, financially, with great conversation, all that stuff. I should be at the game to do my job. And it was never ever number three or to manifest. Iโm sitting at the game on Sunday feeling unwelcomed by every person whoโs asked I ever kissed, whose things I ever did, and talking about football. I am. Iโm appalled at the people who work in the building, because it would be very easy to whisper out of the side of your mouth to me. Hey, dude, whatโs been done to us wrong? And I know whatโs wrong and but no, Chad steel must own the building. I mean, just honestly, because for people whoโve known me 25 years to not even come over and throw an elbow of sort of some sort of mind word, support. I mean, Iโm avoiding hold by Eric dโacosta. I am a Paul by Pat Moriarty. And but he did say hello to me. So Iโm gonna let you off the hook.
Dennis Koulatsos 24:27
There you go. Well, you can maybe you caught him off guard right to given the circumstances where you were but as he has always been the classy guy, but it doesnโt speak well for the organization. You canโt censor it. You canโt eliminate people for whatever reason. Youโre there to do a job and youโre there to ask the tough questions. Sometimes it comes with the territory.
Nestor Aparicio 24:45
They all love me when I was selling tickets for him right? Theyโll love me when Iโm when Iโm selling enthusiasm and creating fan base and like they all love me and now all of a sudden itโs like, because Chad doesnโt like me. They donโt theyโll speak to me. That was the really disheartening thing. I thought If somebody in Harbaugh was disingenuous, right, if Harbaugh wants to be genuine, heโs got my number. You know, you want to say hello, Iโm like Peter Angel. Iโm a very available individual, you want to speak to me, Iโm available anytime I got plenty of time for everyone. That is Culatta series got time for everybody to give me a little lowdown on whatโs going on at your place. Because the end the year, I had let Raskin on earlier, weโre talking about money and big checks coming in, or checks going out or purchases that need to be made. And like all that, I mean, there might even be a case for me here at NSD from a corporate standpoint, to get into a vehicle before the end of the year while the gettingโs good and all that, but you sell a lot of cars this time of year based on that, I would believe, right?
Dennis Koulatsos 25:40
We do a lot of businesses needs, needs, the tax breaks, you can you can depreciate things you can write off up to million dollars worth of vehicles if you have a company so you want to check with your accountant, of course, of course, but itโs a wonderful time of the year Nestor, weโre blessed because we have 200 plus new vehicles in stock more than anybody else in the region, over 200 Pre Owned and of course, the the new ones, generate wonderful trades for us and our customers, Ford Motor Credit supporting us with 2.9% for 72 months for most most models, and itโs just a fantastic time of the year to visit Cummins for the Baltimore.
Nestor Aparicio 26:13
Alright, so listen, I was driving up to Pittsburgh, and I it was raining in the Moors a little hazy. And I got out by turf Valley. And I donโt know Iโm just listening to Led Zeppelin at seven in the morning. Itโs raining and I get gassed up at the ROFO up in Frederick. And a for profit went behind me it was a really pretty color. I looked at it and it wasnโt like oil or blue. And it certainly wasnโt like Royals blue or cowboys blue. It was a blue I had never seen like, I donโt know what to call it. It was sort of like Oilers blue, sort of like Columbia blue, but a little deeper than that. And I thought to myself, I donโt know what color weโre gonna get. My wifeโs probably going to pick that one. But I thought if I walked out to Dennisโs lodge saw that Blue Rock, thatโs the one I would want. I think this Do you know the name is? Does it have some Cayman blues and have some name like that?
Dennis Koulatsos 27:03
Iโm thinking itโs called area 51. Yeah, they have some unique if
Nestor Aparicio 27:10
they just googled it, this is the area 5151. So
Dennis Koulatsos 27:15
you know, for those UFO believers and unbelievers. Itโs a cool, itโs a really cool color. Itโs one of my favorites.
Nestor Aparicio 27:21
Do you have that one?
Dennis Koulatsos 27:22
I have that one in stock.
Nestor Aparicio 27:24
Really? I do. All right. All right. Well, she wants to Bronco sport. I mean, she wants to still drive for the first snowstorm. So weโre gonna talk about it. Iโll save you lots of money when I talk to you about it, because like I saw the color. Now all I got to do so my wife on it, she might want the fuchsia winner. So I
Dennis Koulatsos 27:40
donโt know which whatever, whatever she wants, whatever Jen wants Jen gets,
Nestor Aparicio 27:44
let me tell you this. And this is just letโs have a little family talk here since you know, you have wives relationships. You know what this is like. The other day we redid our place when we moved in January, and we got a new kitchen the whole deal. And we built a relatively cheap kitchen. We just bought what we bought, when it came time to get the stone and the granite we went out and weโre like how much Iโm gonna need to $7,000 Letโs go with $2,300 and whatever, right? So we go out and pick this stuff out me. And we agreed on, you know, colors and stuff. And she said to me, this new top we had it hide dirt. And Iโm like, Yeah, isnโt it great? Sheโs like, No, it makes a mess. Like you canโt see the dirt. You canโt see the mess. So now Iโm thinking like, this area 51 Blue. The only thing sheโs gonna say is does it show the dirt?
Dennis Koulatsos 28:32
Right was probably itโs more forgiving than if you had a white car black car will tell you that much. Thatโs thatโs a fact.
Nestor Aparicio 28:37
All right. Well, weโre gonna get out and see Dennis. Heโs over Coons, Baltimore fort security Boulevard, they of course sponsor our wn St. tech service. So Dennis I stopped them Breezewood I let Luke out because Luke and I mean breeze what because he comes over from Shrewsbury. So and we both decided we had to run an EP because it was like that weโre driving down the mountain. I had a coffee. So it was awakened two in the morning, right and columnists? So I go into the menโs room there and itโs typical Breezewood right. Everybody stops in Breezewood to go to the bathroom everybody because itโs what you do. And itโs a lot of rave insurance is way more ravens and Steelers on the way home. So itโs I donโt know it was probably eight oโclock at the time. We got the Breezewood and I go into the bathroom. Do my business. Iโm rinsing my hands and a guy in ravens churches. Nasty nasty. I got to talk to you. And Iโm like, here I am doing Iโm rinse my answer. How are you man? Iโm a little Hurry. Get out here but how are you? Heโs like Iโm pretty sick. I gotta tell you Iโm on the wn S T tech service. And itโs the greatest thing you do. And and Luke was washing his hands at the other basin. And Luke walked out and didnโt even hear this guy compliment Luke. So I said oh my god, youโre a compliment. Donโt compliment me compliment Luke. Luke just left the bathroom. Heโs outside. So I made him go outside Chase loop down, you know, buying a coffee and a doughnut and said, Look, you got fans. So there you have it good. Coons, Baltimore, St. Tech servers. So I got a little bit of love even in Breezewood on the way home. The last time I was in Breezewood, we had a bus trip. This is 3456 years ago. And I swear to God, I had someone come up to me I had a ball cap on. And he was convinced I was John horrible. I donโt know, at some period of time, I must have looked like John before the ponytail or something. Because I did get a little bit of that. Are you Johnโs brother? Iโve heard that before. And this guy was took a picture with me and was convinced that was done. He wasnโt even drunk. And Iโm like, and my wifeโs like, donโt tell my wife started calling me John in line. Hopefully bought your beer. I donโt know. We were AB reasonable. And it was it was more like coffee or a Dairy Queen or something like that. Eric. Dennis, youโre here on Thursday. I know you have Luke had some great guests as well. Weโll weโll be listening three to five. Do you believe? Do you think they can win a Super Bowl? I want to I want to ask people that because thatโs really the question watching this. Theyโre gonna make the playoffs. Theyโre gonna play like they are. Can they win? Do you believe in them?
Dennis Koulatsos 30:58
Well, Lamar was healthy. They were you know, they were they had the six best best chances to winning. And I think if he comes back and won the Stanley Cup, right, and they have no more significant injuries, then yeah, I think they have a puncherโs chance to win a Super Bowl.
Nestor Aparicio 31:10
We want to believe right when youโre nine and for that, but they have to
Dennis Koulatsos 31:13
play perfect games, right. But then again, itโs sort of the 2000 squad Sunday, the 2012 squad so theyโre getting healthy at the right time of the year. Lamar is Lamar, the 2019 MVP. They can certainly take anybody down.
Nestor Aparicio 31:27
I think one of the things Luke and I talked about five weeks ago when the schedule softened up at this point, right, which is they canโt they canโt win any points here. I mean, they want another ugly game, barely with a third string quarterback fine. Theyโll probably be Cleveland this week. Fine. Atlanta, they stink. So now theyโre 11 and four. And youโre still like, are they the Vikings? Are they just, you know, I mean, the Vikings lost it alive. Or like the dolphins who lost it lost two in a row. Now youโre like, yeah, theyโre good team, but theyโre not beating Patrick mahomes doing all this, you know? And thatโs, Iโm trying to get across the river of denial here and say, All right, and in the locker room, I felt it a little bit in Pittsburgh on Sunday, because I looked and saw Ronnie Stanley upright JK doll. You know, Iโve looked around the end row Quan Smith guys that werenโt even in the locker room five weeks ago. I see that they are. They have potential to be a better team. And they havenโt and all these guys said is our defense hasnโt played to its potential yet. Okay, maybe they do round in the form. And Luke is always the first one to say, hey, this time 10 years ago they were firing cam Cameron and Flacco was planking and eight weeks later weโre having a parade here so things are possible. You never know. I believe Do you believe that is Colossus here heโll be believer three to five on Thursday, doing the Sunday Sports force and driving you home. Your am 1570 area 51 Is the color. I donโt know why I asked that question. But now I know the answer. On this we are wn SDA a 1570 and we never stop talking Baltimore positive
