So today is day 26 of tastiness. We’re doing the countdown. This is Towson, Maryland. I’m York. Road’s right there, like, literally right across from the library by the front door. So here’s some knowledge for you. This joint here, jerk, hot, eerie, delicious. Get the brown stew. Thank me later. The rice and peas, fantastic. Plantains, curry chicken, oxtail, they do it all jerk wings. Get the brown stew chicken winner. Curry chicken, brown stew chicken, that’s my fave. And of course, plantains and veggies, oh, and you get a free can of soda as well. Eight bucks lunch in Towson, come get it.

So it feels like serendipity that it’s actually Jamaican Independence Day. I didn’t do that on purpose, but it is day 26 we finally got this home. This is the delicious brown stew and rice and peas. And I would just say, for brown stew, I would call it sort of sweet heat, but it’s like better than that. It’s tastier than that. It just has Jamaican love, and my car smells so good getting it home as well. So get over to Towson support, local we’re doing it all month long. Our friends at curio wellness have thrown us out on the road for our 27th anniversary. We’ve also got the Maryland lottery. You’re going to be doing crab cake tour stops all month at our favorite places. We didn’t eat in at your cut because it’s kind of a small place. But I put some pictures up. There’s some great Bob Marley inspiration there. And you get two cans of soda when you order two lunches for eight bucks a piece. Ordered some veggies on the side for five bucks. And I have absolute perfection and deliciousness, oh and Happy Independence to all my Jamaican friends, too. You.

These milestones continue to add up as the 25th anniversary of the Baltimore Ravens' Super Bowl XXXV win is coming later this month and Nestor is catching up with many of the Purple Reign legacies about life – on and off the field – as we celebrate the night we all felt the civic pride of that first miracle in Tampa. Reflections here with the man who coached Jamal Lewis, Priest Holmes, Sam Gash and Femi Ayanbadejo a quarter of a century ago.

Firing the head coach and changing leadership will certainly create an interesting offseason in Owings Mills. No one covers the Xs and Os of the NFL like Mike Tanier of Too Deep Zone. The one-time geometry teacher of Joe Flacco joins Nestor to discuss the depth and salary cap numbers of the Baltimore Ravens roster and the structural changes Eric DeCosta will need even after Steve Bisciotti finds a new captain to lead Lamar Jackson.
