Recently, Dr. Leana Wen was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the nation and we found out just why during her Baltimore Positive visit.

Dr. Wen joined us at Jennings Cafe for a wide-ranging conversation about pregnancy and Planned Parenthood and the future of health care in America.

We were honored to spend time with one of the brightest lights in American medicine and health. You are going to love all three parts of this chat with Dr. Wen, including hearing her remarkable journey to the United States from Shanghai in the second part of our trio.

(Nestor accidentally put the WNST logo instead of the Baltimore Positive logo on the video portion of this but proudly claims it as a cross promotion to honor Lamar Jackson while the Ravens are in first place!)

What really happens after a woman has been domestically assaulted?

It's an unthinkable circumstance that we don't talk about enough but when women or men are the victims of domestic violence, police and hospitals are always involved. Dani Imbragulio of GBMC tells Nestor what really happens after the incident and what options the victim might have if they have no other option than returning "home" again. This is a tough talk on "A Cup Of Soup Or Bowl" during a week when we discuss the topics we need to address in our society.

Bringing friends and activists together for conversation is what "A Cup of Soup Or Bowl" week is all about and on the final day of our annual week-long chats, Bill Cole and Todd Schuler join Nestor for a spirited discussion about listening to girls in modern America from Costas Inn in Timonium.
