Heading into the ninth inning of this Game 4 of the American League Division Series it appeared the teams were headed to a fifth game but the Orioles squeezed out a run to force extra innings. In the 12th, Roberto Alomar hit a home run off Jose Mesa that silenced the Jacobs Field crowd and ended the Tribe’s season with a 4-3 win.
