You welcome home. We are W, N, S T AM, 1570 Towson, Baltimore. We are Baltimore positive, positively, getting into the playoff beat here. The Steve press conference happened on Tuesday afternoon. We have been responding to it, chatting about it. You can listen to it up at Baltimore positive, if you wish. Luke and I have been getting after as well, some baseball stuff as well. I’m going to be getting after a cup of soup or bowl. We’re two and a half weeks out on that. I’m wearing my state fair Catonsville shirt because of the vandalism and the damage done to my friends over Catonsville. El Guava is owned by my friends at State Fair and Beaumont and Franco’s and all this stuff going on. And I want to hold up my candy cane cash, because I’m going to be giving these away, because I have them left from the holidays. They were really lucky. Badge at $100 winner at Costas. And Leonard Raskin is here. He is with Raskin global. He joins us on a weekly basis. This week, he sort of waited till after everything. Who knew by the time we got together, Tom will be out in Pittsburgh. The Steelers will be out of the playoffs. The bills would stay in the play. Just, you know, it was a weekend of football, but it feels like this freaking news cycle Pete’s from the minute I left Pittsburgh, like the minute the ball sailed wide right as we’re doing this was, like all of like nine, less than nine days ago as we’re recording this. It feels like it was nine months ago, and every day is a month, because this coaching thing’s wild. There’s games Saturday, Sunday, Monday, yeah, Tomlin, Fallout, the Green Bay fall like so much going on, but you and I are getting after it in the aftermath of mashati press conference. And last time I talked to you, we were just mad that they didn’t play well against the Steelers. That’s where you were. It wasn’t like gone the next time since the last time we got together,
Leonard Raskin 01:46
yes, but I did say we ended it with something has to happen. It was it was not acceptable, and something has to happen. And you said, Do you think it’s going to be Lamar? I said, No way, no way. They’re keeping him. You said, then they got to get rid of har ball. I said, That’s what I it’s got to be a change. And sure enough, within 24 hours of that conversation, they got rid of har ball. So the world is up in arms. A bunch of people saying, Steve will regret it. A bunch of people saying, How the hell could you fire the best coach you know, in forever and all over the NFL. And then I we just look at the numbers, and you say, how many games did they lose they shouldn’t have lost? And that’s how many, how many games did they plays just not be there when they should have been. And as I said, I’m no pro in this in that arena, but what I know is, I’ve watched football really, really long time and buck stops, one of three places, head coach, GM, owner, and I think Steve made an
Nestor Aparicio 02:50
owner in there. I’m glad you. Yeah, you manage money. And by the way, the owners decide any of it because of the owners of mess. If the owner is a mess, you can
Leonard Raskin 03:01
have a Hall of Fame listen his press conference. I listened to his press conference for an hour, and I was, it was I thought it was very interesting. I am not of the ilk to ask the probing kind of questions you would want to ask. I’m absolutely certain of that you’d have things that you’d want to know that that I wouldn’t see my list of 25 I did. I didn’t read them all, but my point is lot of questions in there that he could answer if asked. I don’t think there are a lot of things that necessarily, the public at large would think to ask. That’s my point. I would have not thought to ask some of those things. But a lot of content was asked. A lot of questions were asked. I didn’t find him evasive about anything that was asked. I thought he was pretty straight up. He said, Look, one of the things that had surprised me I did not know this about him, was that he had made it very clear to the world and to his family that he did not expect this team to be a legacy asset for them. But again, I don’t recall that. So him saying that and saying, look, if I can get 10 more years in a Super Bowl or two and ride off, I’m a happy guy. The funniest line of the press conference was when he said, listening to 83 year old Jerry Jones, talk about what part of his body he would sell to win a Super Bowl like I’m he said, I’m not interested in selling body parts. I thought that was absolutely fantastic. And then another line, which you, of all people, I think would have, would have just stamped it with a with an X, was, when somebody, I don’t, I don’t know, who asked somebody asked him about how much control Lamar has over the decision. And he says, he said, he has, I don’t know the exact quote, but he basically said, was he, he has a say. They asked how much say Lamar had. He said, he, he has a say, but he has no control. A. Lot of say, but no control. He said, I can’t let the players have control. I thought that was a very profound owner type statement. And said, right there the buck stops.
Nestor Aparicio 05:12
Well, he’s head coach. He just fired. Probably would have said the quarterback is in control. Well, he might have whether you win or lose not, of whether you make $6 billion when you cash out, that’s going to happen either way, right?
Leonard Raskin 05:25
Go ahead, let me, let me just say one other thing. The other thing I found very interesting, and you you can say he was saying it, he wasn’t saying it again. I found it very interesting that he talked about his conversation with HAR ball, not just on the day, but on subsequent days, and what they’ve been talking about, and that this was a business decision, and this is a man that he be friends and cares about and will forever. And you may believe or not believe, people listening may believe or not believe, I found that very interesting in their conversation.
Nestor Aparicio 05:58
I absolutely believe that, and I absolutely believe that when the rubber met the road and his $20 million a year, $18 million a year, employee was getting fired, John was the first one that knew about it. His agent would have, you know, like his agent went into overload a minute later to say he had seven phone call like all of that, right? Was Miami. Like, John wasn’t shocked. John didn’t cry. John was like, I’m going to be the Giants coach by the weekend. He did me a favor, getting me out of 35 35,000,035 Pittsburgh, now that they’re open.
Leonard Raskin 06:33
Figure, so figure, I’m just
Nestor Aparicio 06:35
saying, like, for me, um, you think he did John a favor and that interview Tomlin here, I don’t know. I don’t know. You see the coach flip happening? Well, the word on top is he wants to go do television. Yeah, he wants,
Leonard Raskin 06:52
I think he wants out. It was his choice, and good for him. 18 and 19, the rivalries over
Nestor Aparicio 06:59
hockey game with him. Do some fun. There you go. There you go. Talks about doing crabs break bread. You know what? Crabs with Mike Tomlin, I like that.
Leonard Raskin 07:09
You make it. I’ll show up. I think he’s, I think he’s, I liked it. He’s straight. You know? I don’t feel like there’s ever been, from what I’ve seen, of the conversations that I’ve seen with the man. It’s nothing but straight and seems like just a hell of a person. So I agree wholeheartedly, and I’ve not met him, but I’m just going to like him now, because he’s not the Steelers coach anymore, right? You’re always allowed to like a person. You just hate the team.
Nestor Aparicio 07:36
I almost text him when it happens. It happened right in the middle of the press conference. I did text him, man, you know, I gave him, I gave him a love you dude, exhale, you know, but like, I almost text him and said, Dude, I could love you more. Now, you know, Leonard Raskin is here for rascal. So a couple of thoughts that I had for Luke, yeah, being a little reiterative. And Luke and I gave no green rooming at all when you hear the Luke Nestor piece, we did more post green rooming before I talked to you. So I would say this, I found them to be a little belligerent, like he entered the room ready for a street fight with the media in some way, which I found to be a little you people. And also found him well, even at the end, he’s like, you weren’t as hard on me as I thought. Jameson, I like you, and I like you. Jeff and Mike Preston, you’re number three, and they made fun of Coleman. And just like, I’m locked out of the room, and it’s like, I didn’t exist, like, because every years that I was in every press conference everywhere, wasn’t Luke there? Yeah, Luke was there representing us. He got a question. You got question number seven, and he got it. That’s a great question. Oh, he didn’t get it. That’s a great question. That was a that’s a great she has a lot of great questions, you damn right. But my point is, he got, that’s a great question that for my, on behalf of my any you know, Luke looked nice. His hair was done at all. He didn’t even
Leonard Raskin 08:56
wear they don’t show the questioners. They don’t show the questioners on the press. Apparently the whole
Nestor Aparicio 09:01
PR staff had earpieces like the FBI. They must be cash. Patel must be out in the end. And by the way, a friend of mine who I’ve known, and I’m sure you saw this on social media, because I put it out. And of course, people were like, You’re making it up. I’m not making it up. Within five minutes of me writing the Dear Steve bashati Note last week, and you and me talked Yes, yes, but within five minutes of writing it, yeah, a friend of mine wrote me on LinkedIn, and it’s a friend of mine that I’m like. I was very close with him in our lives 35 years ago, when we were college. Sure, still in the business. He still works in the building. I’ve known him my whole life, but I haven’t seen him in a while. He wrote this long passage about journalism being alive through my eyes, and he works in the building. But here was his, here was his kick in the balls. He’s working that building. He didn’t work in the Colts building, but he almost That’s how far back he goes, okay, yeah, sure. I mean he goes back to before. Hampton yards, like, you know I’m saying, so we’re going way back here. That’s how long I’ve known him. I’ve known him since the 80s. So he said, I call it the dungeon, not the castle. And I’m like, You’re giving me material. You’re giving me material. I got thrown out of this. It did feel like a dungeon. It does feel like a dungeon. And they, they all, they were wearing ear pieces because the billionaires like that. So all of that non pretentiousness that feels like it happens around the club with a cigar and a high ball behind, you know, like at the country club of country clubs in Jubilee, sure, like it feels like he hangs out on a boat with servants. I mean, he speaks to people that way, like this is not the guy I remember from 20 years ago. And you would speak to the fact of managing money, that if he was worth $700 million different 3530 years, yeah, and is now worth 12 billion, or whatever, different world, whatever it is, it’s a different world. He doesn’t. He’s not like a human anymore. He’s not like a normal guy anymore. He’s like a different thing.
Leonard Raskin 11:07
Well, I don’t know, but I don’t know. Well, I
Nestor Aparicio 11:11
I know. I know him.
Leonard Raskin 11:12
I know, I know, I know you do. I’m
Nestor Aparicio 11:15
now watching it from the outside, yeah, while they’re all full of shit, and I’m locked out and I’m putting questions on the internet that he doesn’t want to answer, right? And he answer, right? And he comes in belligerent, and he has all of this fire and brimstone, and the first off, he said, I checked out. Yes, he said that he’s checked out of the organization, right? But he’s gonna pick the coach, so
Leonard Raskin 11:36
that’s just wacky. I don’t think he said he’s gonna pick him. He said it’s he’s got the final
Nestor Aparicio 11:41
set, okay, but, but it is his organization, yes, but I found that the heart to be shocking to me. Yeah, that here’s a billionaire. I work really hard, as you know, on all sorts of strategies that don’t look like strategy, right from my logo on the front to what’s behind me, to what I say to wear like Catonsville shirt today for my friends, every single thing, I think, when you put the radio on the piece you’re hearing at the time of the day, it’s strategized. It’s planned by me. I’m a control freak, right? I have to be. I, I have AI. I have a bigger business that plays like, more like a small business. I, if you ask me anything, anything, as my sponsor, as my friend, as the guy who manages my money, yep, if, if any of my partners, Brian Billy came, any of my partners, ask me things about my business, I would either say I don’t have an answer. I would not puja my way through, but you know me well enough to know that I would say I have to look that up after right? But I wouldn’t come into a media event as a billionaire representing the team after firing the coach and feeling unprepared for the question, not unprepared to answer it right? He’s the he’s a billionaire. He’s got, he’s a smart guy. Yeah, he’s not unprepared. He’s not tap dancing and making up answers. I found it weird, weird, and this isn’t, doesn’t speak to Chad steel, who has wants everything polished, and now Steve’s coming through like a bull in a china shop, and he owns right? And you can’t tell Steve when you work do him anything? No, he’s gonna do. He’s gonna do. No one has ever told Steve, no, which is the first question I asked him my 25 does anybody tell you that’s a bad idea? Does Chad steel pull you up and try to coach it? Because if he did, either Steve doesn’t have enough respect for him, which wouldn’t shock me. I mean, how could, how could Steve any respect for Chad steel? I don’t you know, like, I don’t know working around it, but it speaks to Chad steel professionally. Or Kevin Byrne, and Kevin couldn’t control Steve, either. Right, right? So nobody’s going to, nobody’s going to the thing that his wife. I bet his wife. I think so. I bet not. She controlled the castle. She built the dungeon, right? There you go. Well, she built the castle, and they all left. Now it’s a dungeon because they’ve left people like Sashi Brown, who’s in on the committee to pick the coach. There’s two points for all your Ravens fans out there when you shat upon the Browns fans for that, but, or Ted Lee owns this, who said, Go, get out of here from the Washington team. But so for me, he felt like, when these questions, and I’m talking about the first five questions, and like, yeah, I can read them off. And like I, and I probably should. I’ve got the transcript here. That’s okay, good if I but if I read the five questions off, um, they were literally stock questions, of course. And it felt like he’s like, hadn’t thought about that. Let me think about that for a minute. You know what I mean? And I’m like, Yeah, you got on the plane. Need to fly here to meet with the media. I don’t need, like, coordinated responses or Chad the school you up, but at least in your own mind, have you not at all thought about the things that you want to get across, that they’re going to ask so that you have learned about? Yeah, it was weird in that way. I found it to be very often, which is kind of cool, whatever. But I also found this to be not as thoughtful as I kind of want him to be. All right. I know he can be. I know he can be,
Leonard Raskin 15:36
yeah, sure and, and, let’s face I think I think you get like you do with everything in the world of you. You view what you’re viewing based on your life’s experience of the circumstance. So I heard a story goes back a long, long time ago. This is probably 30 years ago, maybe, but it it resonates here for me with what we’re talking about. Story is there’s a guy, and he’s on a country road, and he’s driving on a country road, and cars coming the other way on the country road, beautiful spring day. He’s got the windows down, listening to the radio, and a woman is driving up by him, and as she gets close to his car, he hears her yell out, pig. And he looks over and he says, bitch. And he keeps driving, and he goes around the corner, runs into a pig. So it’s everything is in the context of how you see it, right? Life is made up of how we view things. And years ago, there was a thing on the internet. I don’t remember if it was on Facebook or what, but for some crazy reason, half the people that looked at this dress saw it as one color, and half the people saw it as the other. And it was completely impossible for people that saw it as blue to see it as gold, or whatever it was. The people that saw it as gold could not understand how anybody saw it as blue. And so all I’m saying is looking at the press conference on Tuesday afternoon. It was you see it from a very critical sports journalist, what you wanted? Asked how you wanted to see it, answered view, and that’s
Nestor Aparicio 17:36
all the answers he gave. I was shocked that he hadn’t thought more about giving an answer, yeah, but for me, mostly honest, yeah,
Leonard Raskin 17:47
probably for a lot of other people watching it, he he was right on point and Yeah, think about something for a minute. I don’t think he was unprepared. I just think that’s the way, from my view, that’s the way he is. Now that’s only because I only know who he wants me to see him being you’ve seen, oh,
Nestor Aparicio 18:05
that’s who he is, dude, what you saw is, I mean, it reminded me of, honestly, my wife asked me, I said it reminds me after, like, the second or third drink, you know, like, did he have a suit on and his tie tied up to his neck, and, you know, like you like that, like a flannel jacket or something. Yeah. I mean, I don’t even judge it like that. I know my point is content
Leonard Raskin 18:32
of what my point is. If you didn’t know the guy walking down the street, what would you think? You wouldn’t think there goes a billionaire sports team owner. When you look at Steve walking down the street, I don’t know what a billionaire sports team owner is supposed to look like. Look at Jerry Jones. Look at the guy in Atlanta. Look at the guy in Kansas City. They’re all buttoned up and and they’re all Country Club blue blood kind of guy square, right? Yeah. Then you got Steve. It’s like, that’s our Steve.
Nestor Aparicio 19:01
Well, one thing that I took out of it from the sports media or the Ravens future, and not just Lamar related, yeah, the coach, yeah, to me, the more that I’ve gained my wisdom. You said, I view it differently now than I would have 20 years ago, 100% like 100% after
Leonard Raskin 19:22
the way I would, because I wasn’t there. That’s all I’m saying. Yeah, but here’s, here’s another question for you. I have so until today, and maybe I’m just ignorant, or I haven’t paid attention until the Tuesday conference. What I didn’t know was that Todd monkin and or are gone? Have they been terminated? Well, it’s because everything at the news conference was about the head coach and who his staff would be and who his assistants, everybody in the floor gets thrown out, right? But, but, but I’m just curious, have they officially been. Are thrown to the curb.
Nestor Aparicio 20:02
They might still be under contract to be getting paid, but they and, yeah, I don’t know.
Leonard Raskin 20:08
I mean, how would you how would you be sitting in your office Tuesday afternoon? Well, you’re not calling any more plays, you know what? I mean, I get it. But what do you have? Have you been fired? What’s next for you? Are you out on the street? Are you looking for work? Are you talking everybody’s
Nestor Aparicio 20:24
looking for work. Which leads to my next point of Steve,
Leonard Raskin 20:26
how far down? How far down? What do you mean? Every assistant, every the entire staff? John, you’re gone. That’s why. I mean the entire staff gets gone.
Nestor Aparicio 20:36
You’re not telling. Kevin Stefanski, this is meet your new linebackers coach. You’re just not I’m that’s why I’m curious. I just didn’t know everybody, every wife, every family, every kid in school. Yeah, it’s everybody’s uprooted. The entire staff is any building. It is a bloodletting. It’s our worst. Most. Is it the same horrific thing ever? Yeah, is it the same in Pittsburgh?
Leonard Raskin 20:58
Tomlin announces he’s leaving. Is the entire deck cleared. When that happens
Nestor Aparicio 21:04
depends how Mr. Rooney feels about that. Should be sending his resumes out for sure. Okay? And I would think the same thing. I would think at this point that their defensive coordinator would be trying to get that job or this job, yeah. I mean, like, and so this is my point. It takes you right into where we are, yep, Steve in the press conference, and you can listen to the Baltimore positive. We’ll have it on the radio. Steve alluded to the fact that veteran coaches, and that’s a lot of what they’ve interviewed so far. Jim Schwartz, Vance, Joseph, Matt Nagy, Kevin Stefanski, these are all failed coaches in other places. They’re not failed. They just,
Leonard Raskin 21:44
they just didn’t hit it at the right moment. Well, they
Nestor Aparicio 21:47
didn’t have a quarterback, or they didn’t have the right owner, or whatever, whatever it was I am, I’m fascinated. Steve went on and talked at length about that, yeah, Steve would probably at this point say, I don’t need my next Hall of Fame coach. I don’t need a young buck. I need someone that’s going to win the Super Bowl next year or the year after that, right? Lamar, right here, right now. So whoever’s ready to lead Lamar and what we have right now? Yeah, I don’t. I’m not looking to get roses for hiring the next great young That’s right. I need the next best coach right here, right now, not learning on the job. So it feels to me and Luke disagrees a little bit because Eric’s so analytical, and so get the young buck, get the 35 year old guy, because Ben Johnson’s had success, and I’m much more the 57 year old guy that says, give me the mic for able to Sean Payton, who’s motivated? That’s right, I wasn’t convinced Sean Payton would be motivated for the money. You know, I wasn’t convinced to win would be all that motivated when he went back to Oakland, Pete Carroll just didn’t have any he’d have any players. So I don’t want to be on old guys or whatever. But there was a reason Belichick didn’t get hired. I don’t know how attractive Tomlin would be to walk in fatigued and beaten up and saying, I’m ready to do whatever he wants. Cardinals, no, why would you? And why would you? And by the way, Steve’s advice to John was, take some time off. You’ll still be ass. I thought that was great.
Leonard Raskin 23:10
I thought that was great. I thought that was fantastic. And I also, I also enjoyed the fact that, what did they say? Do you want? Somebody asked, Do you want Lamar to be the centerpiece of the team? And he said, I want him to be my quarterback. Thought that was great. And I also really liked, I think it was Eric. When they were asked about Tyler, Luke said, the kid’s going to be our kicker. You know? I mean, I, I don’t know who was out there, thinking he wouldn’t be, but the kid had one bad kick. Granted, it was a terrible time to have a bad kick.
Nestor Aparicio 23:50
But as we talked about, because Bashan, he admitted he was going to fire our ball, that’s
Leonard Raskin 23:54
right, and that gave him, that gave him, as we said a couple weeks ago to me, that gave him the reason to say we need to make changes, because it ain’t working. Dude, that kid, to me, he stood up in front of Chad steel. How long did he answer questions? He is seven and a half minutes. Whatever it took. I have full respect for I’m down with Tyler Luke. And he kicked the crap out of the ball all but one under 50 yard kick and the pressure of that holy cow. I mean, I can’t even imagine.
Nestor Aparicio 24:24
People keep asking me, like, who I want them to hire, what I think a good coach would be. I think whoever connects with Lamar is the right coach. And I think, and again, for bashati to have jumped on the table about this, and knowing Ozzy’s in there, and Eric, Steve would say that, Eric, you’re almost 60 years old. Dude. Why do you want a kid around here? Let’s get some grown and let’s go win.
Leonard Raskin 24:46
Did say we don’t need to train a 30 year old on this? Yeah, to do that again, we did that, you know, right? So that we did that really, let’s, let’s go.
Nestor Aparicio 24:57
Jim Schwartz might be a real candidate, or they hire us to fancy. Can bring Schwartz with him and go get Cliff Kingsbury to be the Whisperer, and get Mike McDaniel McDonald Daniel to be like,
Leonard Raskin 25:07
Look, it is, it is, obviously we would, I would say, I don’t know what you say, but I know we’ve talked about it a little bit a little bit more from the guys there, and a little bit couple more guys. I mean, my goodness, Lamar, Derek, you know, you look around the defense you got roquan, what? Okay, so the one attractive job. It is a phenomenal it is
Nestor Aparicio 25:37
the most attractive job. All that being said?
Leonard Raskin 25:41
Somebody’s gonna take it, but I’m gonna be okay with whatever they hire. Yeah, they’re gonna hire. Let me ask you a question that
Nestor Aparicio 25:49
I do not know is that they explain themselves. That’s honestly let
Leonard Raskin 25:53
me ask you. Did not know the answer to it. Don’t know anything about the circumstance whatsoever. What’s up with Matt a BK?
Nestor Aparicio 26:03
I just think he’s got an injury that they don’t want to talk about. Is that because they said they couldn’t talk about, I didn’t know if it was a family thing, a physical thing? No, he got hurt. He got physically hurt. I did not know. No, he got physically hurt. And there’s a question as to whether physically, like Zach, or whether physically, he’ll be able to play so and the Orioles had a thing with Heston Kirsten that they’re not talking about. It’s a HIPAA thing. He’s got a he’s got an ailment. Okay, I didn’t know why they could, but it is football related, I think is okay, explain it. Okay. I didn’t know if it was something else that was out of the sorts, or something like Heston curse that I don’t think that’s been identified on the baseball side as, like, a foot injury. I think it’s more of like, he had some serious, he had some issues. And I wasn’t like, it was, it was physical, it was he had a health issue, a physical health issue. Had no and Matt API got hurt,
Leonard Raskin 26:54
yeah, came up. And I just didn’t know what they were talking about, that they weren’t talking about. Yeah. So, you know, hey, you got, you got horrible gone. You got Tomlin walked. Did you watch the game Houston, Pittsburgh, I’m sure you watched. Yeah. Is Aaron Rodgers just way too old? No, it’s over. It’s over. But I’m saying they I know he went out with a he wanted to go out with a bang. I get it, but at some point you do have to tell yourself these 20, 345, year old defenders
Nestor Aparicio 27:25
are, yeah, unless you’re gonna kill me, unless you keep them off you, yeah, but,
Leonard Raskin 27:29
but they’re gonna kill me. He looked, he looked so beaten and battered and
Nestor Aparicio 27:35
defense in the league yes, that way every he beat our ass twice. I know, I know. Well, they beat us, yes, because he didn’t have a pass rush, right, right? But they were brutal, and you already didn’t have a pass rush because Matt a BK was in there, Kyle van Noy, it was football enough to be
Leonard Raskin 27:54
oh yeah, no, I’m just saying, but Houston was something. And I am looking forward to the rest of the playoffs, and I want to see a new champion, and it’s going to be fun. It’s going to be fun to see who comes out of the Texans. You like their coach, you like the like all like CJ, Ohio State guy, oh H and how about, how about during the game Pittsburgh, Jack Sawyer. There you go. Sacked. CJ caused a fumble. Ohio State blew them up. That’s Buckeye on buckeye. Buckeye on buckeye. Republicans and the Democrats out there almost you just go at it. But you know, they’re not on the same team, though, right? It was, it was Pittsburgh, Houston. It was a fight. Well, at least for the first half, it was a fight.
Nestor Aparicio 28:36
Glad you admit the Democrats and the Republicans on the same team, man, they
Leonard Raskin 28:39
just take our stuff, and some people like what one party does with it, some people like the other, but they’re all just screwing us, man, when it comes right down to it, let’s face it,
Nestor Aparicio 28:48
remember what you do with money, and I’m gonna let you get back to doing what you do. And you know you’re wearing the purple shirt there, maybe we’ll have purple plumes of smoke.
Leonard Raskin 28:56
It was, it was press conference. Press Conference ready? I guess
Nestor Aparicio 29:00
everybody off the hook that it’s not happening this week. So, yeah, three week processes, right?
Leonard Raskin 29:05
Nothing urgent. We do money. We do money when we’re not talking sports and craziness. That feels urgent money. It is. It is urgent for a lot of people, it’s urgent. And we we help people do everything with I have had conversations with people this week, very interesting. I spoke to someone who had some serious health issues and was battling through some things, and we had to make some help or make some financial decisions. We work with widows. We work with single, divorced women men. We work with all kinds of people that need help with their money. They need to understand how to protect it. They need to know how to save it. They need to know how to invest it and how to enjoy it. Mostly, he’s
Nestor Aparicio 29:50
got more money than anybody we’ve ever known, and it doesn’t feel like he’s enjoying it, like, in a way, like, I don’t know, this year, I
Leonard Raskin 29:59
got the vibe that over. The last couple years. He was That’s why this happened.
Nestor Aparicio 30:04
I said this to Luke, and I probably was more poignant with with Luke, I had a better word than what I’m thinking of right now. He looks like this is tiring to own the team. He looks burdened. That was the word I used.
Leonard Raskin 30:18
I’ll bet it is. I’ll bet here’s what I would say. It’s not. I don’t think it’s, I don’t think it’s burdensome when you’re winning. But over the last three years, he talked about it, we’ve been a disappointment. And this was the end of that disappointment in my brain, a guy who lives in
Nestor Aparicio 30:37
Towson, you manage the money that I don’t have, and I get I get abused on the internet. Oh, he’s
Leonard Raskin 30:44
not burned. Billions isn’t burdened. We’re talking about, okay, we’re talking about a different type of burden. Well, inflicted burden. He’s not digging ditches.
Nestor Aparicio 30:55
Well, that’s the point that I’m making here.
Leonard Raskin 30:58
It’s all relative man. It is a relative one man’s ditch digging
Nestor Aparicio 31:03
out the whole point, which is right, like you don’t have to have Steve a shot his money to be happy. That’s right. I promise you this, that’s exactly right. I’m happier than that. Dude. You feel like I’m healthier than that. Dude, you know what you could be both you can. I feel like I’m mentally healthier because I’m out in the community dealing with real people eating real crab cakes. Instead of being an industry old billionaire behind closed gear, I’m checked out. I’m Raskin you spend 50 grand a year on my team. I’m checked out. I mean that that dude, there was a little bit of that, and you, it’s not 50, but I get the point, yeah, but I think about the 10s of 1000s that I don’t have for you to invest, that I gave to them over 30 years. I spent a lot of money, absolutely Baltimore. So anybody wants to come upon, chat upon me anywhere, and say, I’m not be prepared, dude, I’ll bring whatever receipt you want. That’s right. That’s what I do for the douche bags now out on seats.
Leonard Raskin 32:08
For them, you got to have facts. When you have facts, the feelings, don’t set you free, etc. That’s right, that’s right. And you have to remember anything. And I, you know, when I
Nestor Aparicio 32:17
write the bishati and I send him the little note, piss him off. Real good. I’m still the most qualified media member in this city to ask him questions, and I learned that seeing the press conference the other day. So I feel my chest all I want. Whatever I ask the best questions. They’re out on the internet. It’s up to him to answer them. That’s right, who knows? He might take a flyer questions. They’re all fair questions from anybody in this constituency that would call them, hey, nasty. What do you think Steve thinks about little more, you know.
Leonard Raskin 32:49
Okay, well, here you go. He told you, he told you. He told you in bits and snippets. He told you what he wanted you to know. First time in eight years, I welcome. I welcome. I thought. It thought at the end that was also interesting that he said, I don’t need to be here to tell you what they can tell you has been going on, but now I need to be here because it ain’t going the way we want it to go, so I got to be here. That’s what he said.
Nestor Aparicio 33:11
Well, when we they didn’t make the playoffs the other year, he didn’t show up either. So okay, well, I’ll give you that. Yeah. I mean, let’s stop I mean, come on. I mean, it is what it is. I mean, he wanted real questions. If he wanted real accountability, I’m happy to provide that for him. Amen. I did out of Baltimore positive, and that’s right, he can read it. He can. I’m holding power accountable here. Everyone Answers. We’ll see if he answers any. I have no ax to grind at all. I’ve supported the team forever. Absolutely it is absolutely. Anybody knows my heart knows where I am. I am Nestor. He is Leonard. He’s Raskin global. We can find him out at Baltimore positive. You can find me Luke. And if you’re on the wnst tech service, unless you got 18 T and might be delayed, I’m sorry, because it was last week, you’ll get the breaking news first. So I’ll brought you by cold roofing and Gordian energy, unless it comes late, then it’s my fault. Back for more. It’s Baltimore positive.
