There is a very important set of elections coming locally in our region and we’ll be talking to as many of the candidates as possible before April 28th.
Our featured set of chats this week is with Baltimore City mayoral candidate T.J. Smith, whose work as a police spokesperson and former officer had many patrons waving hello during our trio of segments at Faidley’s Seafood in Lexington Market to begin the new year.
Our conversation covered all of the ground we have covered with other candidates but after hearing Smith’s unique perspective after losing his brother to street violence is heard in the middle episode, we concluded with an extended chat about crime, education and the business future of downtown and the Inner Harbor.
Hope you our finale with T.J. Smith!
Next week, we will have a look at the role of hospitals in our region as we spent this week in Annapolis chatting with many local leaders about what they need from Governor Hogan and the legislature during the session.
We are also spending the weekend putting together chats with the many candidates of the Maryland 7th District race for Congress in the aftermath of the death of Elijah Cummings.
Plenty of fresh and relevant conversation coming your way in 2020 as we enter our second year of Baltimore Positive this spring.
