Launched radio career in December 1991 with Kenny Albert after covering the AHL Skipjacks. No. 8 Laurie Schwoy (McDonogh 1996) – Schwoy, who scored 192 goals in four years at McDonogh, then believed to be a national prep record, was recruited to the holy grail of women’s soccer – the University of North Carolina where she played at Chapel Hill for Anson Dorrance and won four national championships while battling hamstring injuries.
